2012 Kaschper Raven Lineup

The RAVEN was designed and built specifically for high level and elite racing, taking advantage of quality composite materials as applied with the newest Resin Infusion techniques. The resulting shells have a superior structural integrity and strength not only in the 100% carbon hulls and decks, but also in each of the high level Kaschper-crafted components. Raven is now available in the standard length, 27'4", for all sized shells, and also in a shorter, 26' length for Flyweight, Lightweight, and Midweight sizes. Raven can also be fitted with either a Bow Wing
Rigger or with the standard Stern Wing.

We use only the best materials in creating the RAVEN. The hull is built with several layers of high modulous 100% carbon fiber material. Infusion with epoxy resins under vacuum completes the layup, followed by a double curing in our high temp oven. By using infusion, we have completely ELIMINATED the inefficient and fragile prepreg/ honeycomb process, so you get light weight products that not only perform well, but also last a long time! To increase structural integrity and longevity, we continue to use the Kaschper Unideck system. By molding the entire cockpit and decks as single units without joints, the STIFFNESS of the shell is increased a great deal, which augments overall strength while extending the product's longevity. To further enhance the beauty of the Raven, we leave the hull in its natural carbon form, covering it only with a durable layer of UV Protective PPG Clear Coat finish, polished to a glass-like, highly water-responsive surface.

Durable, lightweight and easy to adjust, the components have been designed to give reliable performance with the capability for quick, easy changes as needed. We use precision welded light weight aluminum parts, hard coat anodized for maximum protection in all water types. Our Kaschper Stainless Steel wheel bearings are pressed rather than clipped into heavy duty wheels, giving longer life, especially in salt water environments. The newly designed Kaschper wheels, undercarriage, and axles on our carbon Reactiv Seats provide smoother, more stable movement on wide-set, extra long anodized aluminum tracks. The exceptionally large range of adjustment on Kaschper Reactiv Seats, Tracks, Flexboard Footstretchers and TWing Riggers offers every coach and crew or individual sculler the tools necessary to set each point of rigging to maximum customized advantage, ensuring performance to the highest level their fitness will allow!
